Mutakka is a not too sweet, fragrant and delicate full-bodied, melt-in-the-mouth Azerbaijani dessert. It is mainly prepared in Novruz and is a must-have in the holiday menu.

Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 500 gr of flour
- 250 g of butter
- 50 g of powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 5 g of baking powder
- 100 ml of milk

For the filling:
- 200 g of walnut kernels
- 150 g of powdered sugar
- vanilla

Preparation:
Nuts are ground, powdered sugar and vanilla are added, and a well-mixed filling is prepared.
All the ingredients for the dough are added to a large bowl, mixed well and a soft dough that does not stick to the hands is kneaded. It is left to rest for 30 minutes, then it is divided into medium-sized logs. Every day it is opened with an oklov, provided that it is not too thin, stuffing is put inside and folded. It is cooked in the oven at 160 degrees for 15-20 minutes. You can sprinkle powdered sugar on it while serving.
